Advisors are wholly unhelpful and ignorant. Business professors are self-absorbed right wing rednecks who fail you if you disagree with their politics. Information Systems curriculum is woefully lacking, and severely understaffed. most IS professors do not know that much about their subject, and the curriculum is wayyyyyy behind the times(teaching java 5 as opposed to the current standard of java, 7 or 8). Most are asian, and have terrible, terrible accents, which is weird because they've been here for years. you'd think at some point the accent would have diminished but whatever. a bigger problem is the absolute apathy with which they do their jobs. there is no question about it. from the very first day to the very last, there is one constant: the professors could not care if you passed or failed, or if you were literally dying in their class. |
