I am a Computer Science major. Let me tell you straight away, the BSU website misleads you about how many credits it takes to graduate from the CS program. It says 60 on the website, but what they fail to tell you is that you must also have 30 credits of 3000 level or above classes…and the program does not offer 30 credits of 3000 level classes so you must take classes from other disciplines. It turns out being an entire extra semester. Now on to why the program itself is remarkably horrible. The head of the department and who you will be taking most of your classes from is Dr. Marty J Wolf. This man is the epitome of complete and total failure as a professor. He likes to think of himself as one who challenges his students to learn. The truth is, he sets up an environment where people must cheat to get through the program. Very little learning is done, except by a handful of elite students. His explanations are confusing garbage and the worst of it is. He gives tests that are so beyond reasonable that his classes average less than 50 percent. He is a monster and if you value your GPA and actually learning practical knowledge, AVOID THIS SCHOOL ENTIRELY!!! |
