Goddard's product is sound. If you work hard, you come out of your Goddard MFA experience as a better writer. One caution: You are about to spend a lot of quality time with less than quality people. During my tenure as a student, I often found myself questioning my choice to attend Goddard; not because of the quality of the program, but the loons that make up a large portion of the student body. When I left, I felt like I should petition Goddard for a duel degree: MFA/PSYCHIATRY. The degree of instability you find in the student population is alarming. The college needs to develop protocols to address students who aren't ready for graduate level work or who need to be medicated with something other than large quantities of pot. |
