As a returning student I was given the bait and switch program. I had 10 years experience in the education field. I wanted a bachelors in the same field. I was convinced by the advising department that the "Workforce Leadership Program" would be the best and fastest way to graduate. It was not. No aptitude test was given, no prerequisites required. Only to find out employer's do not know what this program consists of, is it marketing, accounting, or how to screw in a lightbulb. The other choice given was to start over, even though I had earned 80 credits. This program just set me back, delayed company promotions and raises. It was not my field of interest. It was na?ve to even suggest the program with my background. They just needed a body count for the new made up program. |
