Yes, Tri-C is a community college. And yes, its a good thing. I am in a differential equations class with 5 other students. That's 5 - not 500 or 50. Just five (lots of personal attention). My professor graduated with a PHD from Case Western Reserve University. I get to ask lots of questions and she answers them until I finish asking them. Try that at other schools. This is not a research facility, so don't expect that when going to Tri-C. Expect a teaching institution. Approachable, friendly professors who you can and will hug when they remember you from a previous class. Every school has their problems and Tri-C is not excluded. Some students are unmotivated, but hey "you are" so what's the difference.

Oh and about the Metro Campus . . .if you are from the Cleveland metro area, you already have interacted with tons of different types of people so no big deal. If you live sheltered from the rest of the world, here's your chance to break down the stereotypes you've created in your mind. I have yet felt uncomfortable let alone threatened at the campus.

The tuition is around $100/credit hour and still transfer to the public colleges in Ohio. While everyone else is overpaying for a distant "credible" college who sit with sometimes 200 other students, I get personal attention from my differential equations professor. Boo-yah!
