I graduated after 4 years with a 3.02 GPA in Kinesiology. My advisor did not think I would get into graduate school in Physical Therapy, which was my goal. She was not helpful with alternatives. A Physical Therapist with whom I did shadow hours suggested that I get a PT tech job and get some hands-on experience and references for graduate school. Since March of 2016, I have applied for 30+ tech jobs. I have had 2 interviews. They were for very part time/PRN hours and I couldn't afford to take them. My degree is WORTHLESS. I am working at the same job I had before spending many thousands of dollars on my degree. I should not have bothered. Iowa State is no help with my future. Along the way I had many problems with instructors whose English was heavily accented or even broken. I had times when I could not reach my academic advisor and I had to schedule classes without her help. There were times when she missed scheduled meetings with me. |
