I attended Iona College for my Freshman Year, and I am now enrolled at a college that made the Top 50 Best Colleges in New York. I'm so happy. Why should I pay money or use my parents hard earned money to attend Iona - when it didn't make the list? I want the most value I can get for my money, and Iona doesn't offer it. Iona lacks a college life atmosphere. The social life is also limited. On the outside, the campus looks beautiful, but on the inside, the school is cold - and it lacks the college life I was looking for. Many of the comments posted are very accurate. Iona cares about expanding with real estate and buildings, whiled Iona's educational support services, including Academic support, Student Advisement, and Career Advisement, are very poorly managed and understaffed.Iona cares about MONEY - and charging big fees to ensure they exceed their budget and enrollment numbers, but Iona lost the main focus - of providing a quality education for all students.Do your due diligence and ask questions. Iona also didn't make the list of affordable/quality colleges to attend. |
