Allegheny sells itself that its degree will get you considered above others. It's quite the opposite. You face extreme competition, and Allegheny College did nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, to prepare its students for the rough world they would face. I had to take two other degrees before I was eligible for employment in the field in which I eventually succeeded, and Allegheny had NOTHING to do with it. They openly mock professions which are not in their purview with an entry level bachelor's degree. I found my education from Allegheny to be entirely superfluous, negative and insulting from faculty who were failures at larger, more prestigious institutions and ended up in the hell hole of northwestern Pennsylvania.
