I only attended MSU because I was told it was a "great value" and that you could transfer your credits easily. Keep in mind that this is only relevant if you're staying in the state of Texas and are using the TCCNS (Texas Common Course Number System) to transfer. I highly recommend checking another Texas university or college (or community college) against MSU and you'll see that even on their own website they may not TAKE THEIR OWN COURSES FOR CREDIT.

Why is that? MSU is riddled with cronyism and there have been no less than THREE scandals in THREE departments where professors were found out to be frauds and stole student work to pass it off as their own. These scandals happened in less than two years so I don't know how much worse it's gotten. Not one dean or even the college president will ever speak to you at all if you have a legitimate complaint. If you go to a lawyer in Wichita Falls they'll ignore you and if you complain they'll just call you crazy or stupid. Can 40 STUDENTS all be "crazy or stupid"? No. Those 40 students were just for one department and another 34 were transferring out due to the scandal at the Bolin Science Hall were a jerk professor falsely accuses students of cheating and brags about his high failure rate. If you aren't going to teach then LEAVE. There are also issues with their business programs and yet another friend transferred out of the pre-law program before they could no longer transfer credits. That scam university is far more concerned with supplying low-wage slaves for the subpar healthcare and educational institutions in Wichita Falls.

I as appalled and disgusted by the attitudes of the sheltered professors on tenure and by the lack of a vetting process that allowed frauds to "teach" students. I kid you not one moron in the Fain Fine Arts (Dana Provence) building tried to teach using a "Survivor-based TV Syllabus" that had students calling lawyers in Dallas. This clown stole student artwork from previous colleges and the STUDENTS found this out - not ONE member of the college board did a background check or called to check references before hiring this criminal! The joke of a local newspaper will NOT report what actually happens there and the abuse and misuse of funds is criminal. Students were told they could "vote" in the next professor but the student votes lost out to the arrogant professors and board members. They voted in a criminal who couldn't teach one class let alone three. It was the same problem in pre-law as well as the business branches. They had a difficult time keeping professors in Bolin Science Hall as well.

While they claim to be a "great value" they are also notorious for adding more credits to graduate at the last minute - otherwise they threaten to withhold your degree. They will also NOT ALLOW YOU TO TRANSFER OUT after you earn so many credits. Other students in their Junior year of college had no choice but to quit. The tuition costs have ballooned over 60%, and the college wasn't worth it in my opinion, when they first opened. Check out College Scorecard to see their below average graduation rates.

Academic dishonesty (cheating and plagiarism) aren't checked and professors can literally discriminate against students for any reason they see fit. Students have been failed for being female (Fain College of Arts again), not going to the professor's church, and for not being religious because you are NOT IN CLASS TO PRAY but to work! The fact that MSU lies to such an extent is insane and I have no trust whatsoever in any accreditation programs for regional accreditation.

The kind of students who go are those who aren't financially well off and are just looking to get their basic credits out of the way. This university isn't even fit to do that and the tuition is outrageous. They have become so administrative heavy that the students are paying for a luxurious mansion and compensation benefits - they aren't getting better equipment as they should. They're paying for some friend of the college president to work part time making over $60,000 a year. How does this help students?

The way students are scammed is cruel and unforgivable. It would be one thing if the scandals were few and quickly dealt with. Unfortunately they are a common occurrence and every single academic appeal to dispute grades will be completely ignored. Students get into debt to be abused and not educated. People need to know the truth about this dump.
