I am very grateful to the University of Vermont. I was not a great student in high school. I'm from central jersey and looked at this school and it immediately became my first choice. Ill admit, its crazy expensive and its full of socialists. Seriously, socialism is preferred here, not capitalism. Anyway, no one would have thought that I could persue premed and it is the hardest thing I've ever done. But this school has a really great education that is not bullcrap… unless you are a non-science major then its a joke. The university-wide requirements are a joke. When it comes to premed, I know multiple people that have gotten into medical school. And if you are premed thats pretty much all that counts right? You don't need to go to Harvard. If you work hard enough, it is very possible to get to med school from UVM. I recently got into a Post-bac premed program. Bottom line, if you work hard enough, this school will get you where you wanna go. If you choose not to work that hard..you will do fine as well..but don't expect to last 6 months in one of the science majors. |
