Georgetown certainly receives a lot of criticism, perhaps most amply from George Washington students, for having a campus that fosters a student body filled with brooding intellectuals. Honestly, it really is like that at this university but ironically that's the beautiful thing. Don't come to Georgetown unless you have a genuine and unfettered love for academics and are willing to suffer for it. Everyone has a near Ivy'esque God-complex when it comes to touting their own academic accomplishments and endeavors. For a number of students it's a race to see who can get into Yale and Harvard Law school- and as evident from Bill Clinton's biography a lot of students hated him but that's ok because he got in. |
