I would say BGSU is a wonderful university but their Neuroscience program is not well set. I would not advice bgsu for Neuroscience majors for undergrad because firstly, the advisors keep changing for this program, there is no one fixed person you can approach for help. Other than that, faculty are not knowledgeable about anything except getting a PHD in that field. During job fairs, there is not a single company that comes that can hire students in Neuroscience. I feel like there is very little support from faculty for this major in specific. There is nothing in the program that helps or guides you for future planning decisions, as in what you can do after you graduate? some faculty don't even give research to a few students and mainly the advisor for Neuroscience doesn't have much knowledge too. The advisor currently is a marine biology proffesor, I mean how is he supposed to have extensive knowledge in this field. I really believe that if you cannot help the students in this field, or if there are not enough proffesors to help out, then this major should be removed. It does not do any justice to everything we pay for, after graduation you are left confused. This is the batch of 2014 and 2015 , most of us have had these issues and it is sad, but i honestly feel like BGSU does not have a good Neuroscience program and I would not reccomend it (you would rather selct from psychology and biology, than combining both, unless you are sure you want to go to med school).
