I went to Hampden Sydney because everyone says that its so great. I'll admit you will get a good education there, but everything else really sucks. The food is horrible, all the buildings are outdated, and there is literally nothing to do on campus or in Farmville. This is a very expensive school to go to, but you never see them use the money for something that's actually useful. Constantly they pay for expensive programs that for only small groups of people instead of paying the same amount for something that most of the campus will attend. The Honor Code isn't really followed, and I've had multiple things stolen from my room. This school will take all your money and then beg for more. I get emails nearly every week asking for donations, and the school forces you to live on campus and buy their expensive (and very lackluster) meal plans. I am transferring away from Hampden Sydney as soon as possible and hope that no one else makes the same mistake I did. |
