  • design and art department at college did not handle students switching majors well; they advised me to take summer courses that were only 2 weeks long
  • after taking the summer classes I was further behind because I was still a first year in my new major and ended up skipping classes that I had only 2 weeks of practice and knowledge in from the summer
  • not enough individual design training, practice, and experience because emphasis is on group projects after year 1 in graphic design major.
