The information in college is somewhat of a celebrated version of high school courses. The in-depth and innovative knowledge really only comes to you the last year or two. The character I built was to hate my school, but love my friends and respect the few teachers who are there to educate, encourage, and inspire. This education got me a run-of-the mill job only because of the piece of paper it gave me. 1% of the knowledge I gained from Cal Poly was useful at my job. The rest I really learned doing the job. The school really taught me to hate, and I am a more depressed person because of it. Thankfully, wherever you go, you can find friends and some mentors to help pull you through. If you go to this school, focus on making friends and enjoying what the amazing city has to offer. Try to ignore any faults of the administration and work with your teachers to get through it all. Good Luck! |
