I found my experience in Touro to be neutral. Its a very average college with good motivation to help students. My department was helpful, they followed rules all the times, which might not be what you want all the time. Student support department is helpful. They help you figure out timing and classes, which is a good thing. Some professors are great, some are downright unqualified to teach (they might be the best in their field). I have had few teachers in my study period which were not involved again in Touro, I'd say that is a sad thing as Touro was loosing brilliant teachers. I am not so happy with the curriculum as its just a collection of everything from every field related to the department (GST). It doesn't feel like a concentrated degree in a specific area. The course is everywhere!I also found people some of my colleagues to be lazy, not involved in class and attentive. Maybe it was because of external workload or just getting a degree mentality, but that had an impact in the whole classroom activity. Touro is one of the most affordable colleges in the US which makes Touro worth it. Dont expect everything from Touro in that budget. Saying that, Touro tries to make the best of whats with them. And as a student, its on you to be succesful. You will have to do a lot of hardwork. They dont have a golden spoon to feed you with knowledge and put a job in your lap. Good luck and weigh your expectations and requirements before joining Touro. |
