There was a lot of racial and sexual discord. I was assaulted by a male staff member at the residence halls and was treated poorly when I tried to report it. I did end up leaving one year prior to graduating over it. The people in the town seem to hate the students. The police harass students when they go off campus. I worked off campus. Walking home one evening on a weekend, I was with another female college student. She was ticketed for underaged possession of alcohol and she told the officer but she had nothing and he said he did not care, "you look prissy." I have children of my own now and I would not allow them to even consider ISU. |
