Michigan was an overall great experience. To be frank, it was hard to adjust during the first year. I was a first generation college student and had to get used to not being the smartest kid in my classes. The school is challenging and your peers are very accomplished, smart individuals. However, you will soon adapt and fall in love with the school. For me, Michigan was a place of incredible personal growth with opportunities for everyone. It is a very well-rounded school. Great town, social life, academics, and sports. Yes, there are bad eggs here. However, you can expect that with ANY university that you attend, and more so in life. It may be hard at first, but any life transition is. You will find you place, your people, and your rhythm. Stick with it and you will be proud you did.
