The price in tuition has gone up but the quality has not and I quit to transfer to a better college out of state. MSU just doesn't have the resources, has corrupt faculty that prides themselves on a 90% fail rate and just can't compete. That proves incompetent instruction, not difficulty of coursework. If you pass the class the professor with tenure will accuse you of cheating and while you have the right to appeal corrupt administrators will do nothing. They heavily rely on foreign students and poor students to pay far too much for a subpar education. Your professors will never be available, be difficult to understand, and the TA will not be a US citizen. You'll be dealing with either ultra conservative students or foreign liberal students. The university closed their pool because no one was using it, increased tuition and every fee imaginable because they thought they could enter the rat race for the fanciest college. Then they decided they not only had to have a pool and gym again but that it had to be state of the art and still no one uses it. They failed and the parking is worse than ever. The university president was caught scamming students by giving an unqualified friend a job making $60,000 a year with a fake title. Students complained about incompetent professors. One of which I personally experienced an idiot telling me that women have no place in a university and that was why he gave all women F's that semester in a stupid art class elective. If you think that's ridiculous it's just the tip of the iceberg with cronyism, nepotism, tenured toxicity, and all out incompetence. The American professors with tenure don't care. They'll hand out the syllabus and not teach anything. The TAs are run ragged and you're wasting your time dealing with immature students who won't do their share of the work and party or the idiots who act like it's still high school and they belong to a clique. It's pathetic and I left after taking AP tests and CLEP tests. Save your money and time by going somewhere reputable.
