Many say student housing is a mess and unorganised, I would be among those who would say it. Student housing does an awful job with regards to their mail and have habits of losing your mail, so if you are planning on getting any packages, I would put little trust in their capability in getting it to you safely and soundly. Their student housing system in general is outdated and residential directors are not educated in advancements the university has made when it comes to inclusion. Student housing must do better and make a better effort on accommodating students. The dorms are overpriced and outdated, some of them even are falling apart as I was put into a dorm that needed constant repairs due to faulty pipes, most of them do not have air conditioning and a few buildings are not accessibility friendly. If you are transgender and out of state, do not go to this university. They are incompetent when it comes to your mail and will mix it up easily and potentially sent it back because of your name being different than it is legally. I have been back and forth with student housing for 3 years out of my 4 due to this incompetence and I can only imagine there will be difficulty with my 4th year as well. If I weren't engrained into the credit system, as it is also incredibly difficult to get your credits to transfer over to another university if you were to transfer, I would have switched universities almost immediately. |
