Do not go to Santa Clara University (SCU) for undergrad degree. For the following reasons:

1) Any AP or IB English class you completed during high school, including community college English course even if you got a high score in AP English, will NOT be considered as completing lower division GE (general education) English or Writing course at SCU. That is because SCU wants you to take their English class starting in year 1 undergrad.

2) SCU has a rule that 50% of the class will get a grade of C or lower. This rule will cause you to have difficulty getting good grades.

3) SCU uses your login to identify who you are and based on your login, they selectively discriminately display only certain courses (a subset of all available courses with open seats) for you to enroll in. SCU controls what class you enroll in by only displaying certain classes specifically for you. Again, this is discriminatory.

4) SCU is a catholic school. It requires you to take 7 courses that are uniquely specific to their university, half of which are religious courses. After you receive many bad grades, you will not be able to transfer to another university because 7 courses are not transferable, non- standard and are not recognized. You will then be stuck at SCU, whose tuition is $56,000 per year.

5) SCU is a quarter school system (10 weeks per school term). The teacher dumps a lot of heavy complex material in a short amount of time and if you can not learn fast with highly difficult academic material, you will get failing grades and low GPA.

6) A few students have committed suicides at this university due to the immense stress.

7) SCU does not allow its students to take even equivalent class at another university, even in summer, to force you to only take their classes. It is a small school with small class size, so to ensure they earn money or have revenue, they prohibit you from taking class at another university.
