I graduated in 1997, and things have changed quite a bit in the EECS program, especially in regards to curriculum. However, onething does remain true: Because of the large amount of required classes, and the amount of those that are sequential, there is not a large degree of variance to the class schedule you will end up taking. Therefore, the engineers you meet in your first few semesters at college, including those in your calculus and physics classes, will more than likely be in many classes with you for the next 3-4 years. So put in the extra 10% to make friends in the beginning, you'll get a good return on it. |
