Personally, UMASS could be much better. I don't have that much negativity towards the English department, but being also in science for a period-they were arrogant and self centered, despite the fact that there is many opportunities for learning in that field. My biggest problem with the school is the administration. They do not treat people like human beings and they bounce you from department to department. Plus they tend to lose things or delay the mailing of important documents. It does have good points to it, but I personally would not go there. And if you do, get use to the run-around down by the administration. Personally, I would search for a school that is more suited for you-don't go to a school just because it is cheap and you can afford it, it would make your life so much better if you go someone where you'd have to take out loans, then go to a mediocre school. |
