There is always an organization that wants you to join or friends that want you to go party with them. Though it is very important to have fun, you do have to study. I went out with friends all the time and was involved VERY heavily in a service organization, but I sitll studied hard and pulled a 3.54, which I was happy with as a first semester freshman. Don't let people tell you that freshmen can't pull grades. they can, as long as they balance their studies with the social life and freedom they have been waiting for. Also, do get involved in an organizaition. I did and I'm in another one next semester as well. I made tons of friends and had many wonderfaul experiences. I wouldn't trade A&M for anything!!
