THE University of Houston is not a school where you will be successful if you just

go through the motions.
Many students who have transferred in from other universities have expressed amazement at the difficulty of the courses. This institution does not believe in spoonfeeding. That is why many of the professors who teach at the University write the textbooks for most other universities.

You must be prepared to learn, study, and take advantage of the resources that the school and community can offer. If you are not you will be wasting your time here. During your years at the University, you will be confronted by new ideas, varying cultures & ethnic groups (with which you may have never had any association), and varying age groups (you may have a child prodigy sitting on your right & and a corporate executive sitting on your left in the same class/lab).

If you are not afraid to EARN your college degree (because nothing is given to you here), I believe that you will be very glad to have chosen THE University of Houston. I wish you success in all of your endeavors.
