I appreciate Tulane very much now that I am going to law school. I will begin school at the University of Virginia law school this fall, though I was accepted at several top ten schools. Tulane has an excellent variety of students—I met people from all over the world with every kind of political or religious affiliation and the experience was invaluable for me. I also participated in Tulane's excellent Junior Year Abroad program, which is one of the oldest and best in the nation. The large research university setting, as well as studying abroad, forced me to be a strong and resourceful person. I was, incidentally, better prepared academically for graduate school (I completed an MA in 2000) than many of my peers from even more prestigious schools.
