I do not know whether they still make this claim, but be aware that you will fit in at BJ only if you are a dispensationalist, independent, fundamentalist Baptist. In addition, the BJU is unaccredited which will affect your ability to get into graduate school. Not all schools will deny BJ grads, but some (including some, but not all, top schools) will return your application without consideration. The recent publicity about the school's previous position on interracial dating, the Catholic church, etc will, in some quarters, reflect badly upon you if you attend this institution. I recommend that you consider very carefully the fact that a degree from BJU can be a liability in both the professional world and in applying for graduate school before chosing to attend. I would not recommend that you attend BJU unless you are a dyed in the wool fundamentalist with no plans for graduate school. |
