UH gives you the opportunity to have great career exposure during your undergrad years (being in Houston). I came out of college with a great deal of experience. One thing I would have done differently is get more involved in the placement program as opposed to taking a position with the company I was working for part-time. The Honors College allows students to have the best of both small college and larger public university atmospheres. The business school is really on the move thanks to great faculty and generous contributions from local business ($40 million from AIM funds). The city of Houston is great and offers many entertainment opportunities for your spare time. Football games are great in the on-campus stadium with festive tailgating before every game. The campus is serene and beautiful, and the student body is one of the most diverse in the country, so count on meeting a lot of different people from different backgrounds. Overall, it's a great place to get your education.
