Southwestern provides an extremely valuable learning experience to all students who are willing to cultivate relationships with the faculty and other students. This is definitely not the place to be if you truly want to be a number and to disappear with the masses. All of my professors have been extremely bright and concerned with the quality of my education, as well as how I am doing personally. Georgetown is not the place to live if you want a wild nightlife just down the street, but Austin is thirty minutes away. SU is certainly not right for everyone, but it is a great place for motivated students for whom academics come first with campus involvement a close second. There are tons of things to get involved with, and none of them are exclusive to a "certain type" of person. To more liberal-minded students, SU can feel way too conservative; however, conservative students often think it's extremely left-wing. I guess that just shows that everyone will find something to complain about, but I think that's true anywhere you go.
