This
school, after 3 semesters, appears to me to focus on
actual quality of education. The classes are interesting and challenging.
The teachers are great. There are no “free” or “coasting”
classes. You have to think and do the work. The
administration is a bit flaky. They aren't always available and
when they are, it's likely that they don't know what
you want to know, with the exception of the financial
aid people...they really know their stuff!!
The bathrooms, while not
always filthy, are not kept up well (frequently out of
paper towels and soap). (they DO have those seat covers
for the toilet, though)
The computer lab is good.
The library is a joke.
The on-campus child
care is not good enough. They only take 3-5 year
olds. If you have a child of any other age,
you're outta luck!
Parking is plentiful. There's a bus route
(only one way, though). The snack bar is a restaurant
that operates WITHOUT the financial inadequecies of the student body
in mind (read: not cheap!).
There is NO coffee machine
and the restaurant closes at 6 (NO weekend hours!).
There
are nice quiet areas to study and designated smoking areas.
The arts are well-represented.
The college has its inadequecies,
but overall, you can get a good education here (just
bring your own lunch).
