This is not the place for most people. If you're looking for keep looking. Don't stop here. If you're looking to be challenged every day for 4 (or 5) years, don't care about going out at night, don't care about much of anything else, this is your school. If you like playing on the computer, this may be your fit, but plenty of kids play their way to being asked not to come back. Of course, there are nice people here, and it wasn't a horrible experience, because everyone is going through the same thing. You have to find your niche and support system.Don't ever visit UGA for the weekend, or Emory, or any other college anywhere for that matter, because at that point you will break down and scream "why oh why did I choose Georgia Tech???" The girls aren't that bad, until you visit one of these schools and find out that, yes, in Athens, there really are 10 amazing babes for every guy, and at Tech it is the opposite.
