Conn is what you make of it, to a greater extent than most colleges. Yes, the overall social life isn't great, but at the same time you can find a lot of willing participants if you create something interesting to do. Over my four years the campus definitely cracked down on alcohol use and admissions definitely started letting in a bunch of girls who are either ugly or look like high school students, but I still managed to have a lot of fun (it just took some effort).

Academically, you'll probably learn as much as you want to. Most of the professors I had were intelligent and approachable, with four exceptions (3 of those 4 no longer teach at Conn). There are a lot of classes that you can breeze through with very little effort, but if you choose to apply yourself and are willing to approach professors, you can get an excellent education.
