I never want to leave Conn! I'll be graduating in May and wish I could stay here. The past three and a half years have been the best time of my life. It's so easy for you to find not only one social group, but several, even if you're a little reserved. You're never alone on this campus. There are so many resources - for both your academic and personal lives - and people really reach out to eachother. While we may not be the most racially diverse campus, we are working on that, and i think we're a pretty culturally diverse campus, and people here are very accepting. It's also a really good place for people who like to be involved - most people I know here are involved in not just one but several activities, and a lot of people take leadership positions. The campus is really run by and for the students. My only complaint is that sometimes the administration can be aloof, but the faculty is fantastic and very acommodating. On more than one occasion I was unable to take a class because of scheduling and my advisor offered to do an independent study with me (I'm a classics major, it wasn't listed above). The staff is also really awesome. For example, most of the dining hall staff know me by name and chat with me when I come to get meals, and our dorm's custodian all gave us hugs and asked us about our vacation when we got back from break. It's just an allover wonderful experience here. If you're looking for a small liberal arts college to make your home, Conn should definitely be on your list.
