The school isn't bad at all. It's definitely the right place to get an Associates degree. However, I recommend to be well prepared for what comes ahead.

The Good:

Instructors give you good hands-on skills within the career of your choice. They give you time to explore your field within the internship. Classes are usually small. You will (for most people) learn how to draw really well if you decide to pursue Visual Communications. Instructors will teach you how to organize your work and create a flow.

The Bad:

Students should have really good motivation in the subject there going into and understand this is a "career school". This means that this school has limited places you can transfer and once you’re done here you’re on your own finding a job. Students must develop their own business skills because the campus will not teach you anything within the arts. Technology could be a little better because the network really slows the computers down.

You should take in consideration that if you decide to choose this school, it's an 11-week program. Sometimes it can be very intense, other times some instructors just recite from the book.

Personal feelings towards the school:

Previously attending a community college to learn this type of media was very difficult. Gibbs really keeps my eyes open because they are not having the same problems as most community colleges have and that’s why it costs more. They do kind of pamper you, if the school is missing something that student’s want) Ex: Students form a petition and by the next term the computers had more memory and video cards). Faculty is very friendly. The other thing I like about the school is you can get books directly from their bookstore online and it is deducted (and included) right out of your student loan.
