I graduated a few years ago and I was definitely prepared to be a teacher. It was a tough program but I came out knowing how to teach in a public or private school. My professors cared about me as a person. I was able to switch class times in the middle of a semester b/c my work schedule changed. I was given a B instead of C (which mathematically was truly a C) b/c my final project and essay/exam showed a considerable amount of improvement. The library was old and dreary but I'm sure it's been renovated by now.
