Major: Interior Design (This Major's Salary over time)
I was a part time student at Antonelli in Cincinnati for 3 years. In that amount of time, there is only one faculty member (including both office staff and instructors) that has been there from the time I started. Everyone except the financial aid advisor has left the school… even the School Director. I thought the turnover rate was a little extreme, but I think I understand it a little more now. While attending the school there were 2 stabbings and a shooting in the alley right next to our building. During the shooting we were all asked to go to the 2nd floor for safety reasons.

I recently left Antonelli due to a financial fiasco. During winter quarter one year I was trying to raise my 4 children, work a part time and a full time job, and also attend 3 evening classes at Antonelli. At the request of my doctor, I was put on sick leave. I had already attended the first week of school so when I brought in my doctor's note the financial aid advisor informed me that I would need to return to school in the same classes that I was leaving in order for my financial aid to cover the cost… and I had to return within 2 quarters. I attempted to go back for spring quarter, but one of the classes that I had previously taken wasn't even being offered that quarter… and they said I MUST take all 3 classes to return. So I attempted to come back for summer quarter, and now, all 3 classes were offered but 2 were at night (the only time I could attend school due to my full time job) and 1 was during the day. So I, once again, couldn't return to school. I went back to sign up for fall quarter and they said that I would have to pay them $1500 out of pocket to be able to return. I asked them why and they said I HAD to return to the same 3 classes within 2 quarters and I didn't do that. I explained that I tried to return but the classes I needed either weren't offered or weren't available at night. They pretty much said

sorry about your luck
and told me I couldn't return to school until the $1500 was paid.

Needless to say I am not returning to Antonelli and I would never recommend that school to anyone. How can they require someone to take 3 classes that aren't available and then force you to pay $1500 because you weren't able to attend the "unavailable" classes. They don't care about "where you're going"… it's all about the money. If anyone does decide to attend this college my only advice to you is you may want to stay healthy because they may charge you $1500 to take sick leave.
