Major: Interior Design (This Major's Salary over time)
Santa Rosa Junior College has a great reputation, unless you want to become an interior designer or an art major. I have had the crazist teachers ever, one even made a necklace out of her public hair and brought it to class, Another scenario, I've had 2 teachers who arent even teachers!!! I've had people who kinda worked in the interior design industry, but dont have teaching credentials and I didnt learn a thing! Also the art teachers there beside a few wonderful ones, are horrible. They think they are the next Rauchenburg, or Kandisnky, and treat you like your an idiot even if its a beginners class. Also, I began my interior design program in fall 2006, and still trying to get my certificates! Why? Because the dean keeps cancelling all of my classes! After 4 semesters I am only half way done. And the people are all either high, arrogant, or too cool to talk to you. Its a disgustingly "clicky" atmosphere with middle school gossip. Go to SRJC if you are persuing a degree in nursing or something. They have a great reputation for that. but stay away from anything artistic there! (btw…Ive signed up for 12 credits (full time, allows scholarship) many times, and my classes keep getting cancelled and I always end up taking 6(part time)…so I cant get a scholoarship)
