Sonoma State is a great school.  I don't know why there are negative comments about this school.  For the people who say this campus has no social life, they are wrong.  I mean cmon, if you stay in your dorm all the time of course your gonna say the social life sucks.  If you make friends and put yourself out there, you will meet a lot of people and your social life will be good if you want it to be.

Most of the parties start thursday and friday night.  Greek parties are usually for sororities or fraternities, but they do have a few open parties a year.  Other than that, sports teams parties are usually open and other random ones.

SSU is also getting a lot of new stuff built on campus to lose the reputation of SSU being a “commuter school” even though half of the students are from SoCal.  There's a green music center being built for concerts and other entertainment.  A university building too which will have more classes, dining places, and another bookstore.  Also, brand new housing called Tuscany which will be three stories and be done by the end of 2009.

You should bring a car if you come to SSU.  Rohnert Park doesn't have that much, but Cotati and Santa Rosa which are 10-20 minutes away have everything.  Even if you don't bring a car, I'm sure a roommate or someone you know will have one.

Oh yeah...if you are a male hoping to get a spot on the soccer, baseball, or lacrosse team your freshman year...good luck with that.  Our teams here are pretty good, especially the soccer and baseball team.
