Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I really feel that I have received more then my money's worth at LCCC. I have had more experience in the art department then I did in the academic programs, since I am an advertising major. I've had excellent teachers for my two years there in both of the departments. The work is very challenging and encourages growth in preparation for transferring to a four year college, or if you are to go right into the work place after receiving an associates degree. The majority of the professors work in the related field that they teach, so they are always up to date on everything. They are very personable and approachable; I have never had one teacher that didn't encourage me to be better at what I produce, and they were always glad to help. The students, once warmed up to one another, are very friendly, diverse and interesting. All types of people from all walks of life attend LCCC. This is more then just a “last chance community college. Its helped me get my feet on the ground in the best possible way. I firmly believe that a college education is what you put into what you have received. You need to work with what you have, and try to be the best you can possibly be.
