Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
UPS is a great school with wonderful professors and staff. The administration can, on occasion, seem a little out of touch, but in general they do a good job.

ACADEMICALLY: The school has excellent social science programs. Politics and Government, Economics, and IPE are all top-flight. History, English and other liberal arts are also very good. There is a solid music program. Science-wise, the school is good, but I wouldn't come here for the science alone. The Math department is very friendly, and very willing to work with students who are struggling. Although the upper level Math/Csci program isn't amazing, it's fairly good.

SOCIALLY: UPS is mildly diverse. Certainly, there are minority students on campus (although that's hardly a guarantee of diversity). The Associated Student Union is out of touch, poorly run, and pointless, but so is every other such organization. Clubs aren't always great, but some of them are quite good. If you like to party, there's always quite a few over the weekend.

STUDENTS: Students tend to be fairly bright, although nothing to write home about. The student body is not as cliquish as it would like to think, and there are good people to be found anywhere you look. Of course, there's also an equal number of self-important, snobbish douchebags, but they transfer soon enough. Generally, if you're actually looking, you can find a cool group of people to hang out with. The hippies and pot-heads can get fairly tiring, but they're also fairly easy to ignore.
