I am a freshman, and i have my car on campus, so even for that small little detail you are incorrect. And MABYE you should have picked a liberal arts college if you only wanted to take classes in your major field. I dont know about you, but i think enhancing your entire educational background is important in any career you choose |
I agree with whomever commented on this. I am a freshman and I have my car on campus. You can't have yours on for first semester but this is typical of most colleges. Also, the bus system is wonderful and RELIABLE! I don't party but I happen to know for sure that there are plenty of them and that the majority of the freshman party with upperclassmen every weekend. Also, of course the clubs are althletic or volunteer based. What else is there? If your really that bothered by the lack of clubs SMC is more than happy to let you start your own. They will even fund it. And duh! Its a liberal art college. Of course there is a liberal studies requirement. These classes are meant to enhance your education. Maybe you should have looked in to the school a little more before deciding to go here. |
I 100% agree with both these responses. Like the 2nd response says, freshmen are only not allowed to have a car their 1st semester, and you definitely don't need one because of the great bus system. I only have a car on campus to get home over long weekends and breaks, and barely use it any other time. Also, freshmen parking in non-zoned areas is FREE. Which is awesome. |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
After graduating from high school I looked forward to coming here, and want to write this so some students like myself don't make the same mistakes I did. Basically unless your on some kind of sports team here the social life is horrible, theres no big parties and if there is most of the upperclassmen are snobs about letting younger students in. Unless you are into helping the environment or volunteer service, the clubs are horrible. Your also not allowed to have cars on campus which sucks in the winter waiting for the bus for a half hour in the freezing cold. You also have to waste tuition money taking courses that have absolutely NOTHING to do with your major, coming here was the worst investment I've ever made.
