this is not a bad school, but there are definitely some things you should know. the campus is nice and the faculty is great and everything, but there is NOTHING, and mean NOTHING to do around here. there is no form of a student union and there are really no places to go to just hang out. with Dorm Hours in place that only allow you to see a person of the opposite sex in their room from 7-11 Mon-Thurs, 7-12 Fri, 1-12 Sat and 1-11 Sun, it gets SOOO boring. sure, you get to spend some great time with your friends of the same sex, but in a way it almost seems as if they discourage even dating or being friends with the opposite sex because you never get to see eachother in your own rooms. they assume the worst in thinking we are all just having sex like crazy, but you can ask anyone, you could even just go into a dorm building during hours, and you would find big groups of friends with people from both sexes just sitting around laughing and having a good time. there really is no reason why we shouldnt be able to see anyone we want at ANY given time. people complain, they say "oh i like my privacy." well i have a news flash for you: you have the power to tell your friends "hey, i am really tired, i think im gonna have to ask you to leave for the night" or "hey, i really need to study, do you think you could go somewhere else?" or "hey, im gonna go shower so can you hang out elsewhere for a bit?" thats all it takes. its a simple as that. administration has it in their head that all we do during dorm hours is have sex, but thats the complete opposite. we just want to be able to have a good time. with this being such a christian college, you think they would have a little more trust in us to make the right choice. besides, if this school believes that the bible is the whole truth (which i also believe), then someone PLEASE find me a passage in the bible which talks about dorm hours and how guys and girls can only see eachother certain times during the day.
