There really is something about this place. Most of the people are fairly nice and easy to get along with. The teachers are extremely approachable and are there to help you if they can. However, like many colleges, the financial offices can give you some serious grief. They like to play the blame game and send you running around to different offices if they don't happen to know the answer or don't want to deal with you, but again, you will find such annoyances everywhere. I live in the state of Alabama and was a little hesitant to leave home considering there was a university a lot closer to where I lived, but the small town feeling of Livingston really is comforting. You don't feel pressured into greek life and everyone is really easy going. I've met some really wonderful people, and quite a few not so nice folks, at this school, friends that will be there for me no matter what. That's what kind of school that every school should be. It's not just about what you learned in class, it's about what you learned in life, and the University of West Alabama can help you learn a lot about life and about yourself.
