Remember all those fun and zany college movies about the guys/girls that loved college life so much that they didn't want to leave? Miami Dade is not one of those types of places. Miami Dade College is more of the Michelle Pfeiffer teaching inner city kids while Coolio is playing in the background, type of place. The school looks like a remodeled prison, the professors barely speak English, and those that do, are usually there doing some sort of community service for a semester. I have yet to see anything resembling school spirit and you would have better chances of getting struck by lightning than spotting someone in any MDC college wear. As for the administration; All they have ever really taught me was patience. Red Tape is practically the school motto and you're asking for it, if you decide to follow the advice of any academic counselor. Bottom line, MDC was created so the city can say that they offer higher learning opportunities to the community. If you have any desire for a higher education and want to actually complete your schooling, while you're young enough to make use of it, MDC is NOT the school for you!!!
