Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I am currently a sophomore political science/pre-law student here and I can say pretty good things about the faculty in this department. They are very warm and approachable and will give you ample time to seek help should you need it. Outside of the program I find core-classes to be a joke and simply classes that are to be taken solely because you must. They are not very challenging and may require unacceptable work time or none at all, it just depends on the teachers or the class. Regarding the social life, I personally have a great time because I am involved in the Greek system and 90% of my friends are also Greek. It's quite possible to have a social life if you aren't Greek though because the school is so small that is is impossible not to meet people. Granted there's not much to do unless you go to parties. I love my friends here but I am looking to transfer simply because I want a school that has school spirit and I can go to sporting events and not have to worry about not knowing anyone there. Dahlonega is a beautiful and quiet town and a nice break from the business of real life.Overall this school is decent and the people are nice, but outside of poltical science and nursing or pre-med i don't see that the students are really challenged.
