It's more than I'd ever hoped for in a University. I was going to attend another UC school until I went online and talked to San Diego students and read students comments. Besides it's an extremely strong school in the Biological field, and it's 7th in the nation for Public Universities! What more could any serious student want! If you want a super party school, then go to San Diego State. If you're serious about getting a good, academic education, this is the place for you! And, there is a social life. In High School I was a 0 social person, but here at UC San Diego I'm loving it. And, getting good grades at the same time!

You are so right. San Diego State is the extreme opposite of UCSD. Did San Diego State rank in at least the top 20 for public universities? No? Really? I didn't think so either.
