I must warn that you should be really sure that Reed is the right place for you before going. Rumors of our collective instability due to trial by academic fire are not unfounded. As a prof of mine said, "Reed does a good job of creating extremely bright students, but you feel stupid and worthless a lot when you are here."

To be honest, I'm not sure. I'm a bit more conservative than the rest of the student body and I am semi-seriously considering transferring to a different LAC. Make no mistake, the education I am getting at Reed is Top-Notch and if I do end up transferring, I will miss it sorely. But Reed is really one of those places where you either fall in love with the school, or you don't.
