Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a 35 year old lady with three kids and a husband. I have been a LPN for less than a year. I came to MC to bridge to the RN-BSN program in which this is one of the more rigorous programs in the state. My advice to anyone coming into this program is to come as a BONIFIED freshman. If you start fresh with this place and keep a "C" average you will have a guaranteed spot in the nursing program. Coming over as a transfer is a challenge because you have to be selected from a competitive pool of applicants. The only time you will be have a chance at selection is in the SPRING! If you don't get in then you will have to wait another year. I am hoping that this will not be the case for me. I do say that MC is a good place for adults because the partying is well out of my system and I am focused because I have a family to think of. MC has social tribes for the young people instead of the sororities. There is absolutely no drinking on the campus. There are intramural sports to be involved in and student government association if you want to develop your leadership skills. I wish that organizations would be out into place to be of interest to the adult learner…
