When I started SHU, I wasn't too thrilled, as it had nothing to do with my goals in life. This feeling changed as soon as the school year began and my political science experience unfolded. The staff at the college, particularly in this department were beyond helpful in both providing me with the motivation to succeed at this college and taking that level of drive and determination on to graduate school (which I completed elsewhere.) The college itself is in a pretty good area, located near a large shopping mall (practically walking distance) and not far from Fairfield and the beach. It was a good time, at least back when I was there (2005-2009.) When I graduated and moved on, I was actually surprised how many people in my graduate school and career field actually heard of it, and the high regard to which they held the school. Only bad things about it are it is rather expensive, the laptop program was recently ended, and the students at times can be a little spoiled… since they aren't paying for it…
