Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
Hesston College is a small, two-year Mennonite college where most of the students come from an average of 8 hours away. I'm from 12 hours away, so I can't go home every weekend, but it's never been a problem because neither can almost anybody else. Campus plans really fun activities every weekend and there's an intense feel of community because we're all really far away from home. Hesston students are my family; I never get homesick and I've always felt welcomed and included from day one. We call all of our professors by their first names to show respect and the level of commitment they have to each student (they know us all by name and say hi on the sidewalk). I honestly cannot say enough good things about this college: it's prepared me to transfer to finish out my degree, I've become a better leader, a more confident person, and I've been challenged and nurtured in my faith at the same time. If I could go back and choose what college to go to after high school again, I would choose Hesston every time.
